A chalet market of around 80 traders in the square outside Chester's Town Hall, beside the cathedral.
Chester's Christmas market sets out rows of wooden huts in Town Hall Square on Northgate Street, with the Victorian Town Hall and the cathedral as a backdrop. The organisers list about 80 traders selling handmade crafts, jewellery, personalised decorations, skincare, candles and local food and drink.
There is a Christmas Market Bar where live musicians play on selected evenings, plus food stalls and selfie spots. Reusable cups replaced single-use cups from 2025.
The official FAQs note that many stalls take cards but suggest carrying some cash for small purchases and mug deposits. Public toilets are at Chester Market on Exchange Square (closed Mondays).
