An annual two-day Christmas fair of handmade work by professional artists and makers from Ards and North Down, held in the galleries of Ards Arts Centre in Newtownards.
Creative Peninsula is Ards and North Down Borough Council's network of local artists and makers, and each December its members hold a Christmas Fayre in the Georgian and Sunburst galleries of Ards Arts Centre, in the old Town Hall on Conway Square in Newtownards.
Everything on sale is designed and handmade by practising artists and makers from the borough, so it's a place for one-off gifts rather than mass-produced stock. There is seasonal live music, free gift wrapping and festive refreshments.
It runs as a late-night shopping evening on the Friday and a daytime session on the Saturday, which the council ties in with Small Business Saturday. Entry is free.
