Weekend Christmas markets of independent makers and producers in the Georgian courtyard of Halifax's Piece Hall.
The Piece Hall, Halifax's restored 18th-century cloth hall built around a vast open courtyard, hosts Christmas markets every Friday to Sunday for six weekends before Christmas. Stalls showcase independent producers and artisan makers from the region, with homeware, jewellery, gifts and food to eat on the spot or take home.
The Piece Hall's own shops, bars and cafes around the colonnades are open daily, so a market visit can be combined with browsing the resident independent traders.
