A weekend makers' fair in the medieval Great Hall of Eltham Palace, the art deco mansion and royal palace site in south-east London.

For one weekend in December, English Heritage fills the medieval Great Hall at Eltham Palace with local artisans and makers selling jewellery, pottery, artwork and other gifts. The hall is the surviving part of the royal palace, attached to the 1930s art deco house built by the Courtauld family.

There are fire pits for toasting marshmallows, mulled wine and festive treats from the café, a community-made wreath trail through the gardens and free garden tours. The fair is included in normal admission, so it is a paid visit unless you are an English Heritage member.
