A weekend Christmas market spread across the estate villages of Ford, Etal and Heatherslaw in north Northumberland, with stalls inside Ford Castle.

Ford & Etal Estates, near the Scottish border in north Northumberland, runs a two-day Christmas market spread across four hubs in Ford village, Ford Castle, Etal and Heatherslaw. Over 70 stalls sell food and drink, cakes and sweets, local crafts, pottery, gifts and presents for pets, with entertainment, activities and decorations at each hub.

One highlight is the chance to go inside Ford Castle, normally closed to the public. In 2025 vintage double-decker buses ran between the villages and the Heatherslaw Light Railway carried visitors between Heatherslaw and Etal (separate tickets).

Admission tickets are sold at information points in Etal, Heatherslaw and Ford, with advance tickets offered online nearer the time. Dogs on leads are welcome at all venues.
