A three-day winter market of over 100 makers and food stalls spread through the grounds and galleries of The Bowes Museum.

The Bowes Museum, the French chateau-style museum in Barnard Castle, hosts a winter market each December with more than 100 artists, designers, makers and food stalls. Expect jewellery, ceramics, textiles, original art, candles and skincare, alongside street food, sweet treats, craft beer and warming drinks.

Stalls run from the museum grounds into the galleries, and the ticket also covers entry to the museum's collections and exhibitions, plus artist-led workshops, carol singing and festive activities.

The museum lays outdoor matting for the stalls in the grounds and has lift access. Free on-site parking is first come, first served, with more parking nearby.
