A one-day Christmas market of around 130 stalls filling Hexham's Market Place and the streets around its ancient abbey.

Hexham's annual Christmas market takes over the historic Northumberland market town for a single Saturday in December. Around 130 stalls from local makers, artisans and food producers line Beaumont Street and run up towards Hexham Abbey, which dates back to the 7th century, and into the Market Place.

Expect Northumberland-made gifts, local food and drink and festive treats, and the chance to combine a visit with the abbey and the town's independent shops.
